5. Set module front panel DIP switches to the startup diagnostics
(SUDs) setting shown in figure 2-29.

6. Release the front panel reset switch toggle so that it returns to
the center position. Verify that the status LED readout displays
a P after completing SUDs, then displays a d.
Note
If the status readout does not display a P, the
module has failed SUDs. Refer to section 4,
“Troubleshooting.”
Repeat steps 1 through 6 (if required) to install a CPM into the remaining
GRP slot (slot 4), then refer to section “Installing CCP modules.”
Installing CPMs in CCP slots
1. Remove a CPM (see table 2-1) from its shipping container.
Save the container.
2. Press the front panel reset switch toggle into the down position.
3. Install the module into slot 5 (bottom) of the card cage.
4. Use a crosstip screwdriver to tighten the module’s captive
screws.
5. Connect a VT100-type terminal interface cable to the debug
port of the slot 1 (top) T1 module.
6. Press the [Return]—or [Enter]—key on the terminal to display
the module configuration menu.
7. Type 4, then press [Return] to Change Port0 State.
8. Type 1, then press [Return] to select Maintenance.
9. Type 5, then press [Return] to Change Port0 Operating Mode.
10. Type 2, then press [Return] to select Local Loopback.
11. Type 2, then press [Return] to Change Port0 Sparing Status.
