1. Make sure the server meets the
minimum configuration to start
(see “Power-supply LEDs” on page
135).
2. Recover the server firmware from
the backup page:
a. Restart the server.
b. At the prompt, press F3 to
recover the firmware.
3. Update the server firmware to the
latest level (see “Updating the
firmware” on page 297).
Important: Some cluster solutions
require specific code levels or
coordinated code updates. If the
device is part of a cluster solution,
verify that the latest level of code is
supported for the cluster solution
before you update the code.
4. Remove components one at a time,
restarting the server each time, to
see if the problem goes away.
5. If the problem remains, (trained
service technician) replace the
system board (see “Removing the
system board” on page 290 and
“Installing the system board” on
page 292).
