6.4 Copying data from the memory cartridge
(card) to IDEC SmartRelay
You have a memory cartridge (card) that contains your
circuit program. There are two ways to copy it to IDEC
SmartRelay:
• Automatically during the startup of IDEC SmartRelay
(POWER
ON) or
• by means of the “Card” menu of IDEC SmartRelay.
Note
If the program on the module/card is protected with the password
X, the copied program in the IDEC SmartRelay is also protected
with the same password.
Automatic copying during the startup of IDEC SmartRelay
Proceed as follows:
1. Switch off the power supply to IDEC SmartRelay
(POWER OFF)
2. Remove the slot cover.
3. Insert the memory cartridge/card into the relevant slot.
4. Switch on the power supply to the IDEC SmartRelay
IDEC SmartRelay copies the program from the memory car-
tridge/card to IDEC SmartRelay. When IDEC SmartRelay
has finished copying, it opens the main menu:
