Upgrade Scanner Firmware via the Base Station
If your scanner is connected as a system to the SG20 base station, the
easiest way to upgrade the firmware of the scanner is through the base
station. After a firmware upgrade you will need to re-establish the
connection between the scanner and base station.
To upgrade the SG20 Bluetooth Base Station you need:
• a USB or RS-232 cable and power supply if necessary.
• a host PC running Microsoft® Windows® XP with SP2 or
Microsoft Windows 2000 with SP4 or a more recent version of
Windows.
• EasySet version 5.6.5.8 or later.
• The firmware update file (.bin).
To upgrade the scanner firmware via the base station
1 Connect the base station to the host (see “Connect the SG20
Bluetooth Base Station to a Host” on page 28
2 Note the scanner’s Bluetooth device address (BDA).

Note: Firmware upgrade of the scanner via the base station is only
available with base station firmware version ST2L301_ or later.
