NOTICE
Internal damage to the RollerDrive due to improper handling
Incorrect grounding can result in the build-up of static charges, causing the RollerDrive and/or
the connected control system to malfunction or fail prematurely.
4 Ensure correct potential compensation of all metal elements of the conveyor unit
(RollerDrive, side profile, supporting structure, ...).
The pocket holes for carrier rollers and RollerDrive are closed with clips after the installation:
4 Close the pocket holes over the carrier rollers using roller clips.
4 Close one of the pocket holes over the RollerDrive with a suitable clip. (The pocket hole on
the opposite side is closed by the tab.)
4 Optional: Close empty pocket holes with a dummy clip.
Requirement:
R The module is shut down.
4 Remove side frame cover (1).
4 Disconnect motor connecting cable (8) from control system or extension cable.
4 Remove the roller clip (2) using needle-nose pliers.
4 Unscrew ribbed nut (6) on the cable side of the RollerDrive (3) and remove together with
the tab (7).
4 Slightly turn RollerDrive horizontally.
4 Remove drive belt (5) from RollerDrive.
4 Remove RollerDrive.
4 Insert new RollerDrive. Pull the drive belt (5) onto the RollerDrive in the process.
4 Insert the tab (7).
4 Slip the included nut (6) over the RollerDrive line and screw it onto the fastening shaft.
Do not twist the inner nut.
A nut is located on the fastening shaft of the RollerDrive close to the bearing housing. This inner
nut has been pre-assembled and secured in the correct position.
4 Secure the inner nut against turning using the flat counter wrench (Interroll accessory).
4 Tighten the nut (6) with a torque wrench to a tightening torque of 70 Nm.
To ensure a safe potential compensation of the RollerDrive, the fastening nut must have direct
contact with the metal surface of the grounded side profile.
4 Insert the roller clip (2) using needle-nose pliers.
4 Connect motor connecting cable (8) to the control system or extension cable.
4 Insert side frame cover (1).
