CAUTION
Risk of crushing and electric shock
Installation and maintenance tasks on a conveyor system during its operation can lead to
crushing and electric shock.
4 De-energize the module and ensure that it cannot be started accidentally.
Requirement:
R The module is shut down.
4 Remove side frame cover (2) from the side frame.
4 Remove side guide bracket (4), see "Replacing the side guide support", page73.
4 Open the cover of the universal support (7) using a tool (e.g., screwdriver) and swing it
down.
4 Loosen the hexagon nuts (6), but do not remove them.
4 Slightly turn the clamping plate (3) with the complete universal support and remove it from
the C-profile of the side frame.
4 Loosen the two hexagon head screws on the new universal support, but do not remove them.
4 Insert the clamping plate into the side frame by slightly turning the complete universal
support.
4 Position the universal support on the side frame and slightly tighten the hexagon nuts in the
desired location.
4 Install side guide bracket, see "Replacing the side guide support", page73.
4 Align the angles of the mounting brackets (5).
4 Firmly tighten the hexagon nuts.
4 Swing up the cover of the universal support until you hear it snap in.
