6. Remove the oil filter behind the
cooling fan on the right side of the
engine.
7. Apply a thin lm of oil to the O-ring
of a new lter and tighten the new
lter rmly by hand.
8. Fill the engine oil to the specied
level and tighten the oil ller cap.
The engine oil filter should be
replaced when changing the en-
gine oil.
9. Run the engine for approx. 5
minutes to deliver oil to each
part.
10. Stop the engine if the oil warning
lamp still comes on. (It is normal
that the oil warning lamp is off
while the engine running)
11. Check the engine oil level again
with the oil dipstick. If the level is
low, add more oil.
NOTE
The engine oil is very hot while
the engine is running or right
after the engine is stopped. Be
careful not to be burned.
Avoid oil contact while chang-
ing or adding engine oil and
wear eye protection to prevent
eye contact.
Prolonged and repeated con-
tact with the engine oil may
cause skin disorders and skin
cancer. If skin contact is made,
wash thoroughly with soap or
hand cleaner as soon as pos-
sible.
Keep the used oil out of reach
of children.
