The air conditioner should be operated with the engine running.

(3) Temperature Control Dial (4) Air Conditioner Switch
WARNING
Do not leave a child alone in the cabin. His/her health can be threatened
as internal temperature rises rapidly in hot weather or on a sunny day.
Use the fresh air mode in normal conditions and use the air recir
-
culation mode only if necessary. Continued operation of the air
recirculation mode can cause the inside to become stuffy, causing
headaches, drowsiness, or frost on the windows. Do not operate the
recirculation mode for an extended period of time.
