What to do if Kronos InTouch Clock fails to read badges?
    • J
      Jennifer ThompsonAug 3, 2025
If your Kronos InTouch Clock fails to read badges, start by inspecting the badge for cleanliness, and then clean both the badge and the badge reader. If the badge is worn or damaged, replace it. Also, verify that the InTouch is configured to read the correct symbology used by your badges by accessing Maintenance mode, then Symbology settings. Finally, confirm that the InTouch is enabled for the correct badge reader type and company ID code in the host application. If problems persist, the badge reader itself may not be working correctly.

How to troubleshoot no power in Kronos InTouch Clock?
    • N
      Nathan BenjaminAug 11, 2025
If your Kronos InTouch Clock has no power when using a standard AC power cable, the transformer may not be properly plugged into the main board or the AC outlet. Check these connections. Important: Ensure the transformer is properly connected to the main board before plugging the power cord into the AC outlet. If the InTouch is powered by Ethernet, the network might be down, or the connections to the Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) module may be loose. Ensure the network is running and that the Ethernet cable is securely connected to the main board.

What to do if Kronos InTouch Clock power LED is on, but nothing appears on the screen?
    • D
      David StantonAug 19, 2025
If the power LED is on but nothing appears on the screen of your Kronos InTouch Clock when using a standard AC power cable, the AC line might not be live or is supplying improper voltage. Measure the voltage at the AC outlet and find another power source if necessary. Note that the LED is amber and the screen is blank for 1-2 minutes during startup. If the InTouch is powered by Ethernet, there may be a network issue. Check the Ethernet connection at the InTouch and all other network connections. Ensure the network is supplied with an 802.11af-compliant (PoE) or 802.11at-compliant (PoE Plus) power source.

Why is communication failing on my Kronos InTouch 9100 Standard InTouch?
    • J
      Jeremy BensonAug 26, 2025
If communication fails on your Kronos InTouch Clock, the communication settings may be incorrect on either the InTouch or the host PC. Access Maintenance mode, then Communication Settings, and check the Device ID and IP Address. Ensure these match the settings in the host application. Also, check the Gateway, Subnet Mask, and DNS IP Address settings, ensuring the IP address is correct for the Subnet Mask and Gateway settings. If DNS is enabled, verify that the DNS server is running. If the Comm Mode prompt is set to Device Initiated, ensure the Primary Server, Primary Server Port, and Primary Server Instance ID are set correctly and match the host application settings. If the password feature is enabled, the passwords must match on both the host application and the InTouch.
