Collatespecifiestheorderinwhichthepagesofamultiplecopyjobareprinted.
WithCollateselected,thefirsttimetheprintjobissenttotheprintingsystem
thedataisrenderedaspageimagesintheprintingsystem'smemory.The
remainingjobcopiesareprintedfromthestoreddata.Thisavoidstheextra
processinginvolvedinsendingeverycopyfromthecomputertotheprinting
system.
WithCollateselected,thedriverprintsthecompletejobsetbyset.WithCollate
cleared,itprintseachpagebyset.Forexample,withCollateselected,three
copiesofafive-pagedocumentoutputsaspagesonethroughfivein
succession,threetimes.
Whenprintingmultiplecopiesofamultipagedocument,theprintercan
assemblethepagesofeachcopyinnumericalorder.

Inyourapplication,openthePrintdialogboxandclickProperties.

IntheBasictab,selecttheCollatecheckbox.

TypeorselectthenumberofcompletesetsintheCopiesbox.Whenprinting
usingthecollateoption,specifythenumberofcopiestoprint.Thedocument
pagecountmustnotexceedtheprintertraycapacity.

ClickOKtoreturntothePrintdialogbox,andclickOKtobeginprinting.
TheoptionsinColorletyouchoosefull-colorprintingorprintingwithblacktoner
onlyandEcoPrint,whichmakestextappearlighter.Thefollowingcolormodes
areavailable:
Color(CMYK)
Thismodeprintsfullfour-colortextandgraphics.
Black&White
Thismodeprintswithblacktoneronly,constrainingallcolorsettings.
EcoPrintmakestheentireimage,textandgraphics,appearlighterinthe
printedjob.EcoPrintdoesnotincreaseprintspeed.
Color,Black&WhiteandEcoPrintalsoappearintheQuickPrinttabandin
theImagingtab.ChangesinQuickPrint,Basic,orImagingtabsarereflected
intheotherdialogbox.
SelectbetweenColor(CMYK)orBlack&Whiteforyourprintingjob.EcoPrint
isoptional.
TheKyoceralogoappearsatthebottomofeverydrivertab.Clickthelogoto
opentheAboutdialogboxthatdisplaysthedriverversionnumberanddriver
plug-ininformation.
