ProofandholdisaJobstorage(e-MPS)optionthatprintsonecopyofaprint
jobsothatyoucanproofitbeforeprintingtheremainingcopies.Thisfeatureis
availablewhenaHarddiskisinstalledintheprintingsystem,orRAMdisk
enabled,andselectedintheDeviceSettingstab.
Aftertheproofcopyisprintedandchecked,remainingcopiescanbeprinted
fromtheprintingsystem’soperationpanelwithoutsendingthejobagainfrom
thecomputer.Ifdesired,youcanchangethenumberofcopiesprinted.
Note:ProofandholdisnotavailableforsomeapplicationssuchasMicrosoft
Excel.
ThenumberofProofandholdorQuickcopyjobsthatcanbestoredissetat
theprintingsystem’soperationpanel,toamaximumof50jobs.Whenthe
designatednumberofjobsisreached,olderjobsarereplacedbynewjobs.All
ProofandholdjobsarestoredintheHarddiskafterprintingbutaredeleted
whentheprintingsystemisturnedoff.Youcanmanuallydeleteajobatthe
operationpanel.
Warning:AprintjobcanreplaceajobintheHarddiskhavingthesameUser
nameandJobname.Topreventthis,selectUsejobname+dateandtime
underOverwritejobname.
Proofandholdletsyouprintonecopyofamulticopyjobtoproofbefore
printingtheremainingcopies.ThejobisstoredintheHarddiskorRAMdisk
memoryuntiltheprintingsystemisturnedofforthejobismanuallydeleted.
