ColorOptimizerisaplug-infeaturethatletsyoumatchasinglecolor
accuratelyinaprintjob.Toinstallthisoptionalcomponent,seetheInstallation
chapter.Usethisfeaturetoprintadocumentthatcontainsonlyonecolor
besidesblack,suchasaletterheadorcompanylogo.Thecolorshouldbesolid
andconsistent,withnoshading.ColorOptimizerwillnotworkinadocument
withmultiplecolorsorphotographs.
IntheColorOptimizerdialogbox,aneyedroppertoolcanbedraggedintothe
on-screendocumenttoselectthecolor,orRGBvaluescanbeenteredifyou
knowthem.AprintedColorOptimizerTableletsyousee121colorvariations
onpaperandselectthedesiredvariation.HueandLightnesssettingsare
adjustedinthedriveraccordingtotheselectedvariation.
Youcanspecifyuptothreecustomsettingsthatcorrespondtothecustom
settingsintheImaging>Adjustmentfeature.YoucanalsoselectaPrinter
profileoption.
Wheninstalled,theColorOptimizerbuttonappearsintheAdvancedtab.The
ColorOptimizerbuttonwillnotappearintheuserinterfacewhenPDFisthe
selectedPDLorBlack&WhitemodeisselectedintheAdministrator
Settingsdialogbox.ColorOptimizerisunavailableforthefollowingsettings:
•Black&WhiteintheImaging,Basic,orQuickPrinttab.
•Inaclient/serverenvironment.
YoucanuseColorOptimizertomatchasinglecoloraccuratelyinaprintjob.
