2-1-1 Paper feed/conveying section
The paper feed/conveying section consists of the paper feed unit that feeds paper from the cassette and the
MP tray paper feed unit that feeds paper from the MP tray, and the paper conveying section that conveys the
fed paper to the transfer/separation section.
(1) Cassette paper feed section
The cassette can contain 500 sheets. The sheet from the cassette is pulled out by rotation of the pickup roller
and sent to the paper conveying section by rotation of the paper feed roller. Also the retard roller prevents mul-
tiple feeding of paper.
