Depressurise the hydraulic system before you connect or disconnect
hydraulic hoses.
Use protective clothing, gloves, safety glasses and ear protectors, if
necessary.
Clean or replace the safety decals regularly so that they can be read at
all times.
Before you do maintenance on the Attis, make sure you:
Stop the tractor engine.
Engage the parking brake.
Install the wheel wedges and make sure the Attis can not roll away.
Remove the ignition key from the tractor.
Turn off E-link.
Never stand on the Attis during maintenance. Always use a suitable
service platform or platform ladder.
Secure the wrapping table, bale end tipper and bale unloader in top
position with the securing rods (bracket) if you want to do
maintenance.
Always unload the bale transversal to the slope if you want to unload
on a sloping terrain.
Do not operate the machine on a terrain with a slope of more than 8°.
2.2.2 Hydraulic safety instructions
Do not work on hydraulic systems unless you have a working knowledge
of them and feel confident to do so.
Allow the hydraulic oil to cool down when you want to do maintenance on
the hydraulic system.
Make sure the hydraulic system is not under pressure before working on
it. Oil under pressure can penetrate the skin and cause injury.
If any hoses are removed ensure they are marked and returned to the
correct position during reassembly.
Check hoses regularly for signs of leakage or damage. Use a piece of
card when checking for leaks. Fine jets of hydraulic fluid can penetrate
the skin. Never use your fingers or face to check for leaks. If affected by
hydraulic fluid seek medical help immediately. Replace any worn or
damaged hoses immediately.
As a hydraulic cylinder is kept open by the accumulator pressure it will be
necessary to release this before removing the accumulator or working on
the hydraulic cylinder. Otherwise injury may occur. This procedure must
be done by an authorized Lely service mechanic.
All hydraulic hoses must be replaced every 5 years.
