ToreplaceanoptionalServeRAIDSAS/SATAcontrollermemorymodule,completethefollowingsteps.
Step1.Touchthestatic-protectivepackagethatcontainsthememorycardtoanyunpaintedmetalsurface
ontheserver;then,removethememorycardfromthepackage.
Step2.AlignthememorymodulewiththeconnectorontheServeRAIDSAS/SATAcontrollerandpush
itintotheconnectoruntilitisfirmlyseated.

Step3.ReinstalltheServeRAIDSAS/SATAcontroller(“ReplacinganLenovoServeRAIDSAS/SATA
controller”onpage188).
Step4.ReinstallthePCIriser-cardassembly(see“ReplacingthePCIriser-cardassembly”onpage163).
Step5.Reinstallthecover(see“Replacingthecover”onpage158).

1.Installtheserverintotherackenclosureandpushtheserverintotherackuntilitclicksintoplace.
2.Reconnectthepowercordsandanycablesthatyouremoved.
3.Turnontheperipheraldevicesandtheserver.
RemovingaRAIDadapterbatteryorflashpowermodule
UsethisinformationtoremoveaRAIDadapterbatteryorflashpowermoduleintheserver.
Note:RAIDadapterbatteryorflashpowermoduleisonlysupportedinthe2.5-inchmodels.

Ifyouarereplacingaservercomponentintheserver,youneedtoslidetheserveroutfromtherack
enclosure,turnofftheserverandperipheraldevices,anddisconnectthepowercordsandallexternalcables.
IfaRAIDadapterbatteryorflashpowermoduleisinstallednearthefancageandyouneedtoremoveit,
completethefollowingsteps:
