StartingtheSetuputility
UsethisinformationtostartuptheSetuputility.
TostarttheSetuputility,completethefollowingsteps:
Step1.Turnontheserver.
Note:Approximately5to10secondsaftertheserverisconnectedtopower,thepower-control
buttonbecomesactive.
Step2.Whentheprompt<F1>Setupisdisplayed,pressF1.Ifyouhavesetanadministratorpassword,
youmusttypetheadministratorpasswordtoaccessthefullSetuputilitymenu.Ifyoudonottype
theadministratorpassword,alimitedSetuputilitymenuisavailable.
Step3.Selectsettingstovieworchange.
Setuputilitymenuchoices
UsetheSetuputilitymainmenutoviewandconfigureserverconfigurationdataandsettings.
ThefollowingchoicesareontheSetuputilitymainmenufortheUEFI.Dependingontheversionofthe
firmware,somemenuchoicesmightdifferslightlyfromthesedescriptions.
•SystemInformation
Selectthischoicetoviewinformationabouttheserver.Whenyoumakechangesthroughotherchoices
intheSetuputility,someofthosechangesarereflectedinthesysteminformation;youcannotchange
settingsdirectlyinthesysteminformation.ThischoiceisonthefullSetuputilitymenuonly.
–SystemSummary
Selectthischoicetoviewconfigurationinformation,includingtheID,speed,andcachesizeofthe
microprocessors,machinetypeandmodeloftheserver,theserialnumber,thesystemUUID,andthe
amountofinstalledmemory.Whenyoumakeconfigurationchangesthroughotheroptionsinthe
Setuputility,thechangesarereflectedinthesystemsummary;youcannotchangesettingsdirectlyin
thesystemsummary.
