thesettings,youareaskedwhetheryouwanttosavethechangesorexitwithoutsavingthem.
UsingtheBootManager
UsethisinformationfortheBootManager.
TheBootManagerprogramisabuilt-in,menu-drivenconfigurationutilityprogramthatyoucanuseto
temporarilyredefinethefirststartupdevicewithoutchangingsettingsintheSetuputility.
TousetheBootManagerprogram,completethefollowingsteps:
Step1.Turnofftheserver.
Step2.Restarttheserver.
Step3.Whentheprompt<F12>SelectBootDeviceisdisplayed,pressF12.
Step4.UsetheUparrowandDownarrowkeystoselectanitemfromthemenuandpressEnter.
Thenexttimetheserverstarts,itreturnstothestartupsequencethatissetintheSetuputility.
Startingthebackupserverfirmware
Usethisinformationtostartthebackupserverfirmware.
Thesystemboardcontainsabackupcopyareafortheserverfirmware.Thisisasecondarycopyofthe
serverfirmwarethatyouupdateonlyduringtheprocessofupdatingtheserverfirmware.Iftheprimarycopy
oftheserverfirmwarebecomesdamaged,usethisbackupcopy.
Toforcetheservertostartfromthebackupcopy,turnofftheserver;then,changethepositionoftheUEFI
bootbackupswitch(changeswitch1oftheSW4totheonposition)toenabletheUEFIrecoverymode.
Usethebackupcopyoftheserverfirmwareuntiltheprimarycopyisrestored.Aftertheprimarycopyis
restored,turnofftheserver;then,changebackthepositionoftheUEFIbootbackupswitch(changeswitch
1oftheSW4totheoffposition).
TheUpdateXpressSystemPackInstaller
TheUpdateXpressSystemPackInstallerdetectssupportedandinstalleddevicedriversandfirmwareinthe
serverandinstallsavailableupdates.
