Ifyouarereplacingadrive,makesurethat:
•Youhaveallthecablesandotherequipmentthatarespecifiedinthedocumentationthatcomeswiththe
newdrive.
•Youhavecheckedtheinstructionsthatcomewiththenewdrivetodeterminewhetheryoumustset
anyswitchesorjumpersinthedrive.
•Youhaveremovedtheopticaldriverailfromthesideoftheolddriveandhavethemavailablefor
installationonthenewdrive.
Notes:
•IfyouareinstallinganewDVDdriveontheopticaldrivebay2,anEMCshieldshouldberemovedfirstly
tocontinuetheinstallation.
•Ifyouareinstallingadrivethatcontainsalaser,observethefollowingsafetyprecautions.
