Usethisinformationtoinstallanoptionaltapedrive.
Readthesafetyinformationin“Safety”onpagevand“Installationguidelines”onpage29.
Ifyouarereplacingaservercomponentintheserver,youneedtoturnofftheserverandperipheraldevices,
anddisconnectthepowercordsandallexternalcables.
Toinstallanoptionalfull-heighttapedrive,completethefollowingsteps.
Step1.Unlockandremovetheleft-sidecover(see“Removingtheleft-sidecover”onpage49).
Step2.Openthebezel(see“Removingthebezel”onpage184).
Step3.RemovetheEMCshieldsfromthedrivebay,ifinstalled.
Step4.Touchthestatic-protectivepackagethatcontainsthetapedrivetoanyunpaintedmetalsurface
ontheserver;then,removethetapedrivefromthepackage.
