Ifyouarereplacingaservercomponentintheserver,youneedtoturnofftheserverandperipheraldevices,
anddisconnectthepowercordsandallexternalcables.
ToinstallaRAIDadapterbatteryorflashpowermoduleremotelyintheserver,completethefollowingsteps.
Step1.Unlockandremovetheleft-sidecover(see“Removingtheleft-sidecover”onpage49).
Step2.Removetheairbaffle(see“Removingtheairbaffle”onpage188).
Step3.InstalltheServeRAIDadapteronthesystemboard(see“Installinganadapter”onpage216).
Step4.Connectoneendofthebattery/flashpowermodulecabletothebattery/flashpowermodule
connector.
Step5.Installthebattery/flashpowermodule:
a.Alignthebattery/flashpowermodulecableconnectorwiththeslotonthebattery/flashpower
moduleholder.Placethebattery/flashpowermoduleintothebattery/flashpowermodule
holderandmakesurethatthebattery/flashpowermoduleholderengagesthebattery/flash
powermodulesecurely.
