Usethisinformationtoremoveandreplacetheservercomponents.
Thetypesofreplaceablecomponentsare:
•Structuralparts:Purchaseandreplacementofstructuralparts(components,suchaschassisassembly,
topcover,andbezel)isyourresponsibility.IfLenovoacquiresorinstallsastructuralcomponentat
yourrequest,youwillbechargedfortheservice.
•Tier1customerreplaceableunit(CRU):ReplacementofTier1CRUsisyourresponsibility.IfLenovo
installsaTier1CRUatyourrequest,youwillbechargedfortheinstallation.
•Tier2customerreplaceableunit:YoumayinstallaTier2CRUyourselforrequestLenovotoinstallit,at
noadditionalcharge,underthetypeofwarrantyservicethatisdesignatedforyourserver.

Returningadeviceorcomponent
Ifyouareinstructedtoreturnadeviceorcomponent,followallpackaginginstructions,anduseany
packagingmaterialsforshippingthataresuppliedtoyou.
Openingthebezeldoor
Usethisinformationtounlocktheleft-sidecovertoopenorremovethebezel.

Ifyouarereplacingaservercomponentintheserver,youneedtoturnofftheserverandperipheraldevices,
anddisconnectthepowercordsandallexternalcables.
Toopenthebezeldoor,followthestepsbelow.
Step1.Unlocktheleft-sidecover.
Note:Youmustunlocktheleft-sidecovertoopenorremovethebezeldoor.Whenyoulockthe
left-sidecover,itlocksboththecoverandthebezeldoor.
Step2.Fromtheleft-topsectionofthebezeldoor,usethekeytoturnthetabuptounlocktheleft-side
coverandthebezeldoor
