Clearingtheeventlogs
Usethisinformationtocleartheeventlogs.
Tocleartheeventlogs,completethefollowingsteps.
Note:ThePOSTerrorlogisautomaticallyclearedeachtimetheserverisrestarted.
Step1.Turnontheserver.
Step2.Whentheprompt<F1>Setupisdisplayed,pressF1.Ifyouhavesetbothapower-onpassword
andanadministratorpassword,youmusttypetheadministratorpasswordtoviewtheeventlogs.
Step3.TocleartheIMM2.1system-eventlog,selectSystemEventLogsClearSystemEventLog,
then,pressEntertwice.
POST
Whenyouturnontheserver,itperformsaseriesofteststochecktheoperationoftheservercomponents
andsomeoptionaldevicesintheserver.Thisseriesoftestsiscalledthepower-onself-test,orPOST.
Note:Thisserverdoesnotusebeepcodesforserverstatus.
Ifapower-onpasswordisset,youmusttypethepasswordandpressEnter(whenyouareprompted),
forPOSTtorun.
