Ifyouarereplacingaservercomponentintheserver,youneedtoturnofftheserverandperipheraldevices,
anddisconnectthepowercordsandallexternalcables.
ToinstallaDIMM,completethefollowingsteps.
Step1.Unlockandremovetheleft-sidecover(see“Removingtheleft-sidecover”onpage49).
Step2.Removetheairbaffle(see“Removingtheairbaffle”onpage188).
Step3.OpentheretainingcliponeachendoftheDIMMconnector.
Attention:ToavoidbreakingtheretainingclipsordamagingtheDIMMconnectors,openand
closetheclipsgently.
