4.Makesurethatbothpowersuppliesinstalledinthe
serverareofthesamevoltage.
5.Replacethefailedpowersupply(see“Removinga
hot-swappowersupply”onpage243).

WhenboththePowersupply
andConfigurationLEDsarelit,
thepowersupplyconfiguration
isinvalid.
IfthePSLEDandtheCONFIGLEDarelit,thesystem
issuesaninvalidpowerconfigurationerror.Makesure
thatbothpowersuppliesinstalledintheserverareofthe
sameratingorwattage.
Overspec
Thepowersuppliesare
usingmorepowerthantheir
maximumrating.
IftheOverspecLEDonthelightpathdiagnosticspanelis
lit,completethefollowingstepsinorderuntiltheproblem
issolved:
1.Addasecondpowersupply.
2.Replacethefailedpowersupply.
3.Removetheoptionaldevices.
PCIAnerrorhasoccurredonaPCI
cardoraPCIbus.
1.CheckifanyPCIsloterrorLEDislittoidentifythe
componentthatcausedtheerror.
2.Checkthesystem-errorlogforinformationaboutthe
error(see“Eventlogs”onpage139
).
3.Ifyoucannotisolatethefailingcomponentbyusing
theLEDsandtheinformationinthesystem-event
logs,removeonecomponentatatime;andrestart
theserveraftereachcomponentisremoved.
4.Ifthefailureremains,goto
http://www.lenovo.com/support.
