Ifyouarereplacingaservercomponentintheserver,youneedtoturnofftheserverandperipheraldevices,
anddisconnectthepowercordsandallexternalcables.
Toremoveanoptionalfull-heighttapedrive,completethefollowingsteps.
Step1.Unlockandremovetheleft-sidecover(see“Removingtheleft-sidecover”onpage182).
Step2.Openthebezel(see“Removingthebezel”onpage184).
Step3.Disconnectthepowerandsignalcablesfromthebackofthetapedrive.(see“Internalcable
routingandconnectors”onpage33
)
Step4.Graspbothsidesofthetapedrivetopullthedriveoutofthedrivebayfromtheserver.
