anddisconnectthepowercordsandallexternalcables.
Toremovethelightpathdiagnosticsassemblyfromtheserver,completethefollowingsteps.
Step1.Carefullylaytheserverdownonitsside.
Step2.Unlockandremovetheleft-sidecover(see“Removingtheleft-sidecover”onpage182).
Step3.Removetheairbaffle(see“Removingtheairbaffle”onpage188).
Step4.Removethefancageassembly(see“Removingthefancageassembly”onpage261).
Step5.Disconnectthelightpathdiagnosticscablefromthesystemboard(see“System-boardinternal
connectors”onpage25and“Internalcableroutingandconnectors”onpage33).
Step6.Pullthereleaselatchandpushbackwardthelightpathdiagnosticsassemblytotherearofthe
servertoreleaseit.
