Ifyouarereplacingaservercomponentintheserver,youneedtoturnofftheserverandperipheraldevices,
anddisconnectthepowercordsandallexternalcables.
Toinstallthepowerpaddlecard,completethefollowingsteps.
Step1.Carefullyturntheserveronitssidesothatitislyingflat,withthecoverfacingup.
Attention:Donotallowtheservertofallover.
Step2.Unlockandremovetheleft-sidecover(see“Removingtheleft-sidecover”onpage182).
Step3.Removetheairbaffle(see“Removingtheairbaffle”onpage188).
Step4.RemoveallPCIecardsfromthesystemboard.
Step5.Removethefancageassembly(see“Removingthefancageassembly”onpage261),
Step6.Disconnectallconnectedcablesfromthesystemboardanddisconnectthecablesfromthepower
paddlecardafterremovingthecover(see“Internalcableroutingandconnectors”onpage33).
Step7.Removethepowersupplies(see“Removingahot-swappowersupply”onpage243).
Step8.Removethesystemboard(see“Removingthesystemboard”onpage288),
Step9.Graspontheplungerofpaddlecardcageassemblyandpullittowardthefrontoftheserver
firstly,then,liftitoutoftheserver.

Step10.Disconnectthecablesfromthepowerpaddlecard(see“Internalcableroutingandconnectors”on
