anddisconnectthepowercordsandallexternalcables.

Toinstallamicroprocessorandheatsink,completethefollowingsteps.

Step1.Carefullyturntheserveronitssidesothatitislyingﬂat,withthecoverfacingup.

Attention:Donotallowtheservertofallover.

Step2.Unlockandremovetheleft-sidecover(see“Removingtheleft-sidecover”onpage182).

Step3.Removetheairbafﬂe(see“Removingtheairbafﬂe”onpage188).

Step4.Rotatetheheatsinkretentionmodulereleaselevertotheopenposition.
