7.19.4 Checking the lower bushing
Prerequisites – The coupling must be closed; à p. 7 - 132.
Checking the
bushing
• Check the internal diameter of the lower
bushing. The dimension D must not exceed
the following values:
If the dimension is larger than that given
above, have t
he bushing replaced by
Manitowoc Crane Care
or an authorised GROVE
dealer or your specialist repair crew.
7.19.5 Checking the initial tension of the springs
The coupling head should require physical force to twist it when checking
the torque.
• Twist the coupling head clockwise and anticlockwise to check the initial
tension of the rubber springs.
