PROGRAMMING EXAMPLES FOR THE E4N COLUMN
The section provides four examples of how to program the E4N column. Use the programming
data sheet given in the Appendix as a guide.
HOW TO PROGRAM A MEASUREMENT FORMULA
Programming the measurement formula means programming the coefficients (K) of the following
mathematical expression linking the sensor signals:
MEAS. = K
1
A + K
2
B + K
3
C + K
4
D
Where A, B, C and D indicate the sensor signal connected to channel A, B, C, D respectively.
Once the sensors have been connected to a column you should customise the measurement formula
by programming the coefficients with the mathematical sign required (+ or -). See Section 3.8.8.
EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:
1 - E4N COLUMN
1 - MARPOSS M4 MANUAL RING GAUGE
1 - MASTER GAUGE
Plug the connector of the manual ring gauge into the CHANNEL A
on the column.
On the programming data sheet the parameters for which a value
must be programmed are shown in bold type.
The programming data sheet also shows the default values.
Variable data not shown are not part of this measurement example and can
be ignored.
DATA:
PART TO BE MEASURED = PIN
OUTER DIAMETER NOMINAL DIMENSION = 50.000 mm ± 0.025
MASTER GAUGE DIMENSIONS = 50.006 mm
