Chapter 6 Chassis section 3 Front and rear brakes

Install piston sealing ring as shown.As in Fig.5.3.14.
Grease is applied to the brake fixed shaft. As in
Fig.5.3.15.
Tighten the front and rear brake mounting bolts (1, 6)
and friction plate mounting bolts (2, 4) according to the
specified torque.
Tighten the connecting bolts (3) and (5) of the front and
rear brake tubes to the specified torque.
As in Fig.5.3.16 and 5.3.17.
Brake mounting bolt: 39 N · m (3.9 kg · m)
Friction plate mounting bolt: 18 N · m (1.8 kg · m)
Brake tube connection bolt: 23 N · m (2.3 kg · m)
Note: before installing the brake, push the brake
piston into the brake caliper.
Note: exhaust the air in the system after
reassembling the brake.
Loosen the valve, connect the cleaner hose to
the vent valve, and insert its free end into the
container.
Operate the brake lever until the brake fluid
discharged from the brake system is free of
bubbles.
Inspection of brake disc
Remove the front wheel.Check the brake disc for
damage or breakage.Use micrometer to measure
brake disc thickness.As Fig. 5.3.18.
If the thickness of the brake disc is below the
service limit or is found to be damaged, it should be
replaced.
Tools: Micrometer (0 -- 25 mm)
Limit of use: 35 mm
Brake disc thickness: 4.5 mm
