Reassemble and install
Reassemble and install steering lever in reverse order of
disassembly and disassembly.
In doing so, the following points should be noted:
Use special tools to push the upper and lower bearing
seat rings.Tools: steering rod seat ring installer
Apply super grease to the upper and lower bearings.
As Fig. 5.5.24.
Use special tools to tighten steering rod nut .
As Fig. 5.5.25.
Tools: steering lever nut wrench
Steering rod nut: 45 N · m (4.5 kg · m)
Turn the steering lever left or right to lower the bracket
about 5 or 6 times.
Loosen steering rod nut A1/4-1/2 turns.As in Fig.5.5.26.
Note:This adjustment varies in different motorcycle
workshops.Make sure the steering lever rotates
smoothly and easily in both directions.
Combination of left and right shock absorbers before
installation.
Tighten the clamp bolt under the front shock absorber.
Pre-installation clay plate.
Install the front wheels.
Mounting pallet.As in Fig.5.5.27.
Tighten large cap nuts with specified torque.
Nut, large cover: 65 N · m (6.5 kg · m)
Align the upper surface of the bobbin in the front shock
absorber with the upper surface of the bracket on the
steering lever.
Install the combination of front left and front right turn
signals and firmly plug the connector.
Install the oil pipe clamp at the same time as left turn
signal lamp before installation.As in Fig.5.5.28.
Tighten the upper and lower front shock absorber clamp
bolts according to specified torque.
Front shock absorber clamp bolt:
Top: 23 N · m (2.3 kg · m)
Bottom: 33 N · m (3.3 kg · m)
Install ignition switch lock and cable clamp.
Make sure the ignition lock connector is properly and
firmly attached to the connector on the main harness.
