Water Line and Water Filter Disinfection
The ISO 15883-4:2008 (Washers-disinfectors Part 4) water quality standard, requires that chemical
disinfection of the water treatment (ltration) and delivery system must be performed on a weekly basis
and whenever the 0.1 micron bacterial retentive lter is replaced. This standard requires that all rinse
water delivered to the washer/disinfector contain no more than 10 cfu (colony forming units) per 100 ml.
Microbiological quality of even potable water varies considerably. If you are unsure of the microbiological
quality of your washer/disinfector supply water, you should have it tested according to either local or
internal guidelines.
The Water Line Disinfection program or utility is used to disinfect both the water line and the water lter.
Activating this utility lls the water line and water lter with disinfectant, and circulates it through the
channels and the basin.
1. Ensure that the disinfectant reservoirs are lled and the water supply is turned on.
2. Open the cover by pressing the Open/Close
button.
3. Remove any endoscope(s).
4. Install a Disinfection Block on each basin connection manifold.
