7.4.5 Mask Evaluation Area, ROI
Masking limits evaluation area (ROI - Region of interest) for distance calculation in the video signal. This func-
tion is used to suppress e.g. disturbing reflections or extraneous light.

The exposure control optimizes the peaks in the evaluation range. Thus, small peaks can be optimally con-
trolled when a high interfering peak is outside the evaluation range.
