Retrieving documents from the remote machine
(Polling)
This function is used to instruct another machine to send documents loaded
on that machine to you. The phone call is charged to the receiving party (this
machine side).

Press <Fax> to switch to the fax mode.

Press <Menu>, select “Polling” using the cursor keys, and press
[Enter].

Select “On” using the cursor keys and press [Enter].

Press [Close] to return to the standby screen.
When the polling is set to ON, the icon of the advanced function is
displayed.

Enter the fax number of the other machine.
For details on entering the number, refer to “Basic transmission” (page
3-5).

Press <Start>.
To cancel the fax transmission, press <Job Confirm./Fax Cancel>. (For details, refer to
page 3-21)
