Protect Passcode
A protect passcode is a 4-digit number required for setting the security
function (page 6-2), protect function (page 6-21), mode prohibition (page 8-38),
department management settings (page 5-2) and copy charge setting (page 5-2).
You can register an optional number for the passcode. After registration, make a
record of the passcode and keep it in a safe place.
To register a protect passcode

Press <Menu>, <7>, <1>, <5>, <1>, [Enter].

Enter 4-digit numbers (0001 to 9999) using the numeric keys, and
press [Enter].
Protect Pcode(0000-9999)
Enter new passcode

• You cannot register “0000”. “0000” is used to delete the current passcode.
• Make a record of your passcode, and keep it in a safe place.
You also need to enter the protect passcode when canceling the function.
To change a protect passcode

Press <Menu>, <7>, <1>, <5>, <1>, [Enter].

Enter the current protect passcode using the numeric keys and
press [Enter].
Protect Pcode(0000-9999)
Enter old passcode

Enter the new protect passcode using the numeric keys and press
[Enter].
To delete a protect passcode

Press <Menu>, <7>, <1>, <5>, <1>, [Enter].

Enter the current protect passcode using the numeric keys and
press [Enter].

Enter “0000” using the numeric keys and press [Enter].
