10.2 Installing GTWIN
Procedure for installing GTWIN in a personal computer
GTWIN is installed in a personal computer using the procedure outlined below.
1. Exit any applications currently running.
If there are any applications currently running, exit them.
2. Insert the setup CD.
Insert GTWIN setup CD in the CD drive.
3. Select “Run”.
Click on the “Start” button at the lower left of the screen, or
press the Ctrl + ESC keys to display the Windows menu. Select
“Run”.
4. Enter the name of the file on which the function is to be run.
When “Run” is selected, the dialog box shown at
the left is displayed. Enter:
e:\setup.exe
and click on the [OK] button.
Note) The drive in which the CD is installed may be called by a name other than “e”, depending on the
computer configuration.
Note:
• In order to use GTWIN, Windows 95 (OSR2 (Ver. 4.00.950B) or higher), Windows 98, Windows Me,
NT (Ver. 4.0 or higher), 2000 or XP must be installed in the computer.
• The computer in which GTWIN is being installed must have at least 50 Mbyte of hard disk space
available.
• The above explanation assumes that Windows is installed in the C: drive and that the CD drive is the
E: drive. If you drives are configured differently, or if you are installing the program over a network,
enter the appropriate drive name for your configuration.
