9. Arpeggiator
The Arpeggiator enables you to automatically generate musical sequences according to the notes
you play using your keyboard or sequencer. It features a vast amount of different motives and
rhythms that you can use to play your instruments. Combined with the Scale engine, you can play
motives and rhythms while also constraining the notes to the selected scale.
Activating the Arpeggiator
The Arpeggiator is only available when your keyboard is connected to the Komplete
Kontrol software.
To activate or deactivate the Arpeggiator on the keyboard:
1. Press PLAY ASSIST at the left of the display.
→ The PLAY ASSIST button lights up brightly and the display shows the Scale and Arp settings.
2. Press SHIFT + Button 2 (Arp) to activate or deactivate the Arpeggiator.
→ Both the Button 2 and the little dot next to the Arp label below turn cyan when the Arpeggiator
is activated, and white when the Arpeggiator is deactivated.
Playing the Arpeggiator
Here is a quick example of how to use the Arpeggiator:
1. Check that the PLAY ASSIST button is brightly lit. If not, press it to display the parameters for
the Scale and Arp engines.
