1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons cold unsalted butter,
cut in half
3 tablespoons cold vegetable
shortening stick, cut in half
¼ cup cold water
1 Place the flour, salt, butter, and shortening into the 40-ounce Master
Prep Bowl. PULSE, using long pulses, until pea-sized crumbles of
dough form.
2 Add the water to the 40-ounce Master Prep Bowl and PULSE until
dough just comes together. Do not overprocess.
3 Remove dough to a lightly floured work surface, gently form a ball,
then flatten to a 1-inch disk. Wrap with plastic wrap and refrigerate
until needed.
