Transmission Adjustments
Most repair facilities can perform intermediate band and neutral start switch
adjustments.
Intermediate Band Adjustment
When making band adjustments, FOLLOW SPECIFICATIONS EXACTLY. Failure to do
so may cause serious damage to the transmission.
1. Raise unit on jack stands or a hoist.
2. Clean dirt from band adjusting screw. Remove and discard locknut.
3. Install a new locknut and tighten adjusting screw to 10 ft/lbs. torque.
4. Back off adjusting screw exactly 1 1/2 turns.
5. Hold adjusting screw from turning and tighten locknut to 35-40 ft/lbs.
6. Lower the unit.
