1.10 TROUBLESHOOTING
1.10.1 System errors
Problem Solution
The system is not powered
Check the +5Vsb power supply and make sure that the power cord is
connected correctly.
Check that the on/off button is working correctly.
The system does not start
Check insertion or replace the RAM.
Check the setting of the CPU frequency jumper.
Re-insert or replace the CPU.
Check all the connections
Check the BIOS.
PS2 port not working
Check that the CN9 connector is connected correctly or replace it.
Replace the I/O board.
CMOS error or loss of CMOS
data
Load optimized settings for the BIOS.
Reset CMOS via the jumper and load optimized settings for the BIOS.
Bootstrap failed or Bootstrap
took too long to detect device
If the system does not detect the IDE interface or takes too long to detect
it, reconnect the IDE cable or replace the hard disk and the IDE cable.
Check correct setting of the IDE jumper.
Replace the RAM(s).
The system is blocked during
start-up/ screen blue
Check the RAM.
Check the Hard Disk.
Reinstall the operating system.
The system blocks for no
particular reason
Check that the fan of the CPU is working correctly.
Check the setting of the CPU frequency jumper
Check the IDE interface.
Check the RAM.
Reinstall the operating system.
No video signal or incorrect
colors on screen
Check that the cable of the LCD is connected correctly or replace the
LCD.
Check that the Inverter board is connected correctly or replace the
Inverter board.
Check the setting of the LCD jumper.
Fan does not work
Check that the fan power cable is connected correctly.
Check correct functioning of the power supply unit.
Replace the fan.
