1.10.2 Peripheral errors
Problem
Solution
Audio
• Check that the Audio cable is connected correctly or replace the
loudspeakers.
CD-ROM
• If the CD-ROM does not read:
• Change the CD used for testing. If the CD-ROM still does not read, the
problem is in the CD-ROM.
• If the CD-ROM is not recognized:
• Check correct setting of the jumpers on the motherboard and
compatibility.
• CD-ROM error:
• Check that the pins of connector CN9 are not damaged.
• Check that the IDE cable is connected correctly or replace it.
• No sound from the CD:
• Check that the Line Out cable is connected correctly.
Compact Flash
• The CF Card is not detected:
• Check correct setting of the jumpers on the motherboard and
compatibility.
• The CF Card is not read
• Check that the pins of the connector are not damaged or replace the CF
Card.
COM
• Check that the jumpers of the COM port are set correctly.
• Check that connector CN9 is connected correctly or replace it.
• Check the I/O board
Printer
• Check that connector CN9 pin is connected correctly or replace it.
• Check the I/O board.
USB
• Check that connector CN9 and the USB cables are connected correctly
or replace them.
• Check the I/O board.
• Check the USB board fitted to the front.
• Check the front panel USB board-motherboard connection cable.
DIO
• Check that connector CN9 is connected correctly or replace it.
• Check the I/O board.
LAN
• Check that the LAN cable is connected correctly.
• Check the LAN ID code.
• Check the I/O board.
• Check the motherboard.
