Hue, Saturation and Brightness Value
The parameters hue, saturation and brightness value are used in the measurement values in color inspection.
Parameter Description
Hue The name of a color, such as red, yellow or blue, that is perceived subjectively. Hue is
expressed by a chromaticity diagram.
Saturation The degree to which color is mixed with white.
When a color has little saturation, it becomes an achromatic color. The higher saturation
becomes, the purer the color becomes in proportion to hue.
Brightness value The ratio of light intensity in a color.
