Important Information
•When working on the cylinder head and valve
train, always use engine oil to lubricate sliding
parts when assembling. Never assemble dry
parts into the valve train.
•The camshaft is lubricated by engine oil
supplied via an oil passage in the cylinder
head. Make sure that this passage is clean and
open when you reassemble the head.
•When measuring parts to determine wear,
wash the parts with solvent and dry them in
order to get accurate measurements.
•When disassembling the valve components,
keep them in order and reinstall them in the
reverse order.
