How to start a cold engine in cold
conditions
Caution: Ether type fuels must not be
used.
Note: Use this method when the ambient
temperature is colder than -10
O
C (14
O
F)
and the cold start kit has been tted.
1. Switch on the electrical system.
2. Check that the reverse gearbox is in
neutral. Adjust the engine speed control to
the minimum speed position.
3. Hold the lever of the heat/start switch
(A4, page 15) in the up position for 15
seconds. Hold the lever of the heat/start
switch in the down position to engage the
starter motor. When the engines starts,
release the lever. Adjust the engine speed
control to give an even idle.
4. Check that water comes out of the end
of the exhaust pipe or out of the separate
discharge outlet.
5. If the engine does not start in 15
seconds, allow the starter motor to cool for
30 seconds. When the engine has started,
adjust the engine speed control to get an
even idle speed. Check that water comes
out of the end of the exhaust pipe or out of
the separate discharge outlet.
Always ensure that the engine and starter
motor are stationary before the starter
motor is engaged again.
How to start a warm engine, or if the
ambient temperature is hotter than
-10
O
C (14
O
F).
1. Switch on the electrical system.
2. Check that the reverse gearbox is in
neutral. Adjust the engine speed control to
the minimum speed position.
3. Hold the start switch down to engage
the starter motor. When the engine starts,
adjust the engine speed control to give an
even idle speed. Check that water comes
out of the end of the exhaust pipe or out of
the separate discharge outlet.

Avviamento di un motore freddo in
ambienti freddi
Attenzione: Non usare combustibili di tipo
ad etere.
Nota: Usare questo metodo quando la
temperatura ambiente è inferiore a -10

C
ed è stato montato un kit di avviamento a
freddo.
1. Accendere l’impianto elettrico.
2. Controllare che l’invertitore sia in folle.
Regolare la leva di accelerazione sul
minimo più basso.
3. Tenere sollevata per 15 secondi la
leva dell’interruttore di accensione /
riscaldamento (A4). Tenere abbassata
la leva dell’interruttore di accensione /
riscaldamento per innestare il motorino
di avviamento. Quando il motore parte,
rilasciare la leva. Regolare la leva di
accelerazione per ottenere un minimo
uniforme.
4. Controllare che l’acqua esca
dall’estremità del tubo di scarico o
dall’uscita di scarico a parte.
5. Se in motore non parte entro 15
secondi, lasciare che il motorino di
avviamento si raffreddi per 30 secondi.
Quando il motore è partito, regolare il
comando del regime motore per ottenere
un minimo regolare. Controllare che
l’acqua esca dall’estremità del tubo di
scarico o dall’uscita di scarico a parte.
Controllare sempre che il motore e il
motorino di avviamento siano fermi prima
di azionare nuovamente il motorino.
Come avviare un motore caldo, oppure
se la temperatura ambiente è superiore
a -10
O
C.
1. Accendere l’impianto elettrico.
2. Controllare che l’invertitore sia in folle.
Regolare la leva di accelerazione sul
minimo più basso.
3. Tenere abbassato l’interruttore di
accensione per innestare il motorino di
avviamento. Quando il motore parte,
regolare la leva di accelerazione per
ottenere un minimo uniforme. Controllare
che l’acqua esca dall’estremità del tubo di
scarico o dall’uscita di scarico a parte.
Controllare sempre che il motore e il
motorino di avviamento siano fermi prima
di azionare nuovamente il motorino.

koudstartsysteem is aangebracht.
1. Het elektrische systeem inschakelen.
2. Controleren of de keerkoppeling in de
vrij staat. De toerenregeling van de motor
op minimum zetten.
3. Houd de hendel van de verwarmen/
starten-schakelaar (A4) gedurende 15
sec. omhoog. Houd de hendel van de
verwarmen/starten-schakelaar omlaag
om de startmotor te bekrachtigen. Laat
de hendel los zodra de motor start. Stel
de toerenregelaar vervolgens in op een
gelijkmatig stationair toerental.
4. Controleer of er water uit de uitlaatpijp
of de daartoe bestemde afvoer komt.
5. Als de motor niet binnen 15 seconden
start, de startmotor eerst 30 sec. laten
afkoelen. Wanneer de motor is gestart,
de toerentalregeling zodanig instellen dat
een gelijkmatig stationair toerental wordt
verkregen. Controleer of er water uit de
uitlaatpijp of de daartoe bestemde afvoer
komt.
Zorg er altijd voor dat de motor en de
startmotor stilstaan, voordat de startmotor
opnieuw in werking wordt gesteld.
Het starten van een warme motor
resp. het starten van een motor bij
een omgevingstemperatuur hoger dan
-10
O
C (14
O
F).
1. Het elektrische systeem inschakelen.
2. Controleren of de keerkoppeling in de
vrij staat. De toerenregeling van de motor
op minimum zetten.
3. Houd de startschakelaar omlaag om
de startmotor te bekrachtigen. Zodra de
motor start, de toerenregeling instellen
op een gelijkmatig stationair toerental.
Controleer of er water uit de uitlaatpijp of
de daartoe bestemde afvoer komt.
Zorg er altijd voor dat de motor en de
startmotor stilstaan, voordat de startmotor
opnieuw in werking wordt gesteld.
