How to renew the lubricating
oil of the Newage PRM 500D
reverse gearbox
Caution: In service the lubricating oil
of these reverse gearboxes should be
checked with the lubricating oil cold.
Always check the lubricating oil level
before the transmission is used.
1. Put a suitable container with a capacity
of at least 3 litres (5 pints) under the
reverse gearbox. Remove the drain plug (
A3) and its sealing washer and drain the
oil from the reverse gearbox.
2. Inspect the sealing washer for the plug
and, if necessary, renew it. Fit the drain
plug and its sealing washer. Tighten the
plug.
3. Rotate the hexagonal head of the
dipstick (A1) counter-clockwise to release
the dipstick and remove it from the dipstick
/ ller tube. Ensure that the sealing washer
is not lost. Add lubricating oil of the correct
specication through the dipstick / ller
tube, see section 9 for the correct quantity
and specication.
4. Ensure that the sealing washer is on
the dipstick. Fit the dipstick fully into the
dipstick / ller tube. Rotate the hexagonal
end of the dipstick clockwise until the
dipstick is tight in the tube.
5. Ensure that the reverse gearbox is in
neutral (lever in the centre position). Start
the engine to allow the lubricating oil in the
reverse gearbox to circulate around the
system, approximately 15 seconds. Stop
the engine and wait approximately two
minutes.

Attenzione: Durante la manutenzione,
l’olio lubricante di questi invertitori deve
essere controllato a freddo. Controllare
sempre il livello dell’olio lubricante prima
di usare la trasmissione.
1. Inlare un contenitore con una capacità
minima di 3 litri sotto l’invertitore. Togliere
il tappo di scarico (A3) con la rispettiva
rondella di tenuta e scaricare l’olio
dall’invertitore.
2. Ispezionare la rondella di tenuta
del tappo e, se necessario, sostituirla.
Montare il tappo di scarico e la rispettiva
rondella di tenuta. Serrare il tappo.
3. Ruotare la testa esagonale dell’astina
di livello (A1) in senso antiorario per
svitare l’astina ed estrarla dal tubo /
bocchettone di rifornimento. Fare in modo
di non perdere la rondella di tenuta.
Aggiungere olio lubricante di tipo corretto
nel tubo dell’astina di livello/bocchettone
di rifornimento; vedere alla sezione 9
la quantità e le caratteristiche tecniche
corrette.
4. Controllare che sull’astina di livello
vi sia la rondella di tenuta. Inlare
completamente l’astina di livello nel
tubo/bocchettone di rifornimento. Ruotare
in senso orario l’estremità esagonale
dell’astina di livello no a quando l’astina è
ben salda nel tubo.
5. Controllare che l’invertitore sia
in folle (leva in posizione centrale).
Avviare il motore per 15 secondi circa
per permettere all’olio lubricante
nell’invertitore di circolare nell’impianto.
Spegnere il motore e attendere due minuti
circa.

Voorzichtig: Tijdens een
onderhoudsbeurt dient de olie van deze
keerkoppelingen te worden gecontroleerd
wanneer deze koud is. Controleer het
oliepeil altijd voordat de transmissie wordt
gebruikt.
1. Plaats een daartoe geschikte
opvangbak met een inhoud van tenminste
3 l (5 pints) onder de keerkoppeling.
Verwijder de aftapplug (A3) met
de sluitring en tap de olie af uit de
keerkoppeling.
2. Controleer de sluitring voor de plug
en, indien nodig, vervang deze. Breng de
aftapplug en de sluitring weer aan. Haal
de plug aan.
3. Draai de zeskantkop van de peilstok
(A1) tegen de richting van de klok in om
de peilstok los te zetten en verwijder de
stok uit de peilstok- / vulbuis. Zorg ervoor
dat de sluitring niet kwijtraakt. Vul olie met
de juiste specicatie bij (zie sectie 9 voor
de juiste hoeveelheid en specicatie) via
de peilstok-/vulbuis.
4. Zorg ervoor dat de sluitring op de
peilstok zit. Breng de peilstok volledig
in de peilstok-/vulbuis aan. Draai het
zeskantige uiteinde van de peilstok met
de klok mee totdat de peilstok vastzit in
de buis.
5. Controleren of de keerkoppeling in
de vrij staat. Start de motor en laat de
smeerolie in de keerkoppeling ca. 15 sec.
circuleren in het circuit. Zet de motor af en
wacht ongeveer twee minuten.
