8. Close the seacock and drain the raw
water cooling system.
Caution: The raw water system cannot
be drained completely. If the system is
drained for engine preservation purposes
or for protection from frost, the system
must be lled again with an approved
antifreeze mixture see page 73.
9. Remove the impeller from the raw
water pump and put the impeller in a dark
place for storage. Before the impeller is
tted at the end of the storage period,
lubricate lightly the blades and each end
of the impeller and the inside of the pump
with Spheerol SX2 grease or glycerine.
Caution: The raw water pump must never
run in a dry condition because this can
damage the impeller blades.
10. Remove the atomisers and spray
POWERPART Lay-Up 2 for one to two
seconds into each cylinder bore with the
piston at BDC. Slowly turn the crankshaft
one revolution and then t the atomisers,
complete with new seat washers.
11. Spray POWERPART Lay-Up 2 into the
induction manifold. Seal the manifold and
breather outlet with waterproof tape.
12. Remove the exhaust pipe. Spray
POWERPART Lay-Up 2 into the
exhaust manifold. Seal the manifold with
waterproof tape.
13. Disconnect the battery. Then put the
battery into safe storage in a fully charged
condition. Before the battery is put into
storage, protect its terminals against
corrosion. POWERPART Lay-Up 3 can be
used on the terminals.
14. Seal the vent pipe of the fuel tank or
the fuel ller cap with waterproof tape.
15. Remove the alternator drive belt and
put it into storage.
16. In order to prevent corrosion, spray
the engine with POWERPART Lay-Up 3.
Do not spray the area inside the alternator
cooling fan.
17. If the transmission is not to be used
for at least a year, ll the reverse gearbox
completely with its normal lubricating
oil. This will have to be drained and the
normal amount of new lubricating oil
added when the engine is returned to
service see page 47 or page 49.
7. Far funzionare il motore per un breve
periodo per far circolare l’olio lubricante e
il liquido refrigerante e quindi spegnerlo.
8. Chiudere la presa dell’acqua di mare
e scaricare l’impianto di raffreddamento
dell’acqua bruta.
Attenzione: L’impianto dell’acqua bruta
non può essere scaricato completamente.
Se l’impianto viene scaricato ai ni
della preservazione del motore o per
proteggerlo dal gelo, bisogna riempirlo di
nuovo con una miscela di antigelo di tipo
approvato, vedere pag. 73.
9. Smontare la girante dalla pompa
dell’acqua bruta e conservarla in un
ambiente buio. Prima di montare la girante
alla ne del periodo di fuori uso, lubricare
leggermente le lame e ciascuna estremità
della girante e l’interno della pompa con
grasso Spheerol SX2 o glicerina.
Attenzione: La pompa dell’acqua bruta
non deve essere mai fatta funzionare
a secco dato che le lame della girante
potrebbero subire danni.
10. Togliere gli iniettori e spruzzare il
prodotto POWERPART Lay-Up 2 per uno
o due secondi entro ciascun cilindro con il
pistone sul PMI.
Ruotare lentamente di un giro l’albero
motore e quindi montare gli iniettori
unitamente a delle nuove rondelle della
sede.
11. Spruzzare il prodotto POWERPART
Lay-Up 2 nel collettore di aspirazione.
Sigillare il collettore e l’uscita di sato con
nastro adesivo impermeabile.
12. Smontare il tubo di scarico. Spruzzare
il prodotto POWERPART Lay-Up 2 nel
collettore di scarico. Sigillare il collettore
con nastro adesivo.
13. Scollegare la batteria. Riporla
completamente carica in un luogo sicuro.
Prima di riporre la batteria, proteggere i
morsetti dalla corrosione. POWERPART
Lay-Up 3 è molto indicato allo scopo.
14. Sigillare il tubetto di sato del
serbatoio del combustibile o il tappo del
bocchettone di rifornimento con nastro
adesivo impermeabile.
15. Slare la cinghia di comando
dell’alternatore e riporla in un luogo sicuro.
16. Per prevenire la corrosione, spruzzare
il motore con il prodotto POWERPART
Lay-Up 3. Non spruzzare la zona
all’interno del ventilatore di raffreddamento
dell’alternatore.
17. Se il cambio non viene usato per
almeno un anno, riempire completamente
la scatola dell’invertitore con il normale
olio lubricante. Quando il motore
viene riutilizzato, scaricare questo olio
e aggiungere il normale quantitativo di
olio lubricante nuovo, vedere pag. 47 o,
vedere pag. 49.
Voorzichtig: Indien bescherming
tegen vorst niet nodig is en een
corrosievertrager moet worden gebruikt,
wordt het aanbevolen contact op te
nemen met de technische dienst (Service
Department) van Wimborne Marine Power
Centre, zie pagina 7.
7. Laat de motor even draaien, zodat de
olie en de koelvloeistof door de hele motor
kunnen circuleren.
8. Draai de buitenboordkraan dicht en tap
het buitenboordwatersysteem af.
Voorzichtig: Het buitenboordwater-
systeem kan niet volledig worden
afgetapt. Wanneer de koelvloeistof wordt
afgetapt voor het behoud van de motor
of ter bescherming tegen vorst, dient het
koelvloeistofsysteem te worden gevuld met
een goedgekeurd antivriesmengsel, zie
pagina 73.
9. Maak de rotor los van de
buitenboordwaterpomp en sla de rotor op
een donkere plaats op. Voordat de rotor
aan het einde van de opslagperiode wordt
aangebracht, dienen de schoepen, de
uiteinden van de rotor en de binnenzijde
van de pomp te worden ingesmeerd met
Spheerol SX2 vet of glycerine.
Voorzichtig: De buitenboordwaterpomp
mag nooit worden gebruikt wanneer
deze droog is, omdat dit schade aan de
schoepen kan veroorzaken.
10. Verwijder de verstuivers en spuit
POWERPART Lay-Up 2 gedurende een of
twee seconden in elke cilinderboring terwijl
de betreffende zuiger in het ODP staat.
Torn de krukas langzaam een omwenteling
en breng vervolgens de verstuivers samen
met nieuwe onderlegringen aan.
11. Spuit POWERPART Lay-Up 2 in het
inlaatspruitstuk. Dicht het spruitstuk en de
ontluchtingsleiding af met waterbestendige
tape.
12. Verwijder de uitlaatpijp. Spuit
POWERPART Lay-Up 2 in het
uitlaatspruitstuk. Dicht het spruitstuk af met
waterbestendige tape.
13. Ontkoppel de accu. Sla vervolgens
de volledig opgeladen accu veilig op.
Voordat de accu wordt opgeslagen, dienen
de polen te worden beschermd tegen
corrosie. POWERPART Lay-Up 3 kan op
de polen worden gebruikt.
14. Dicht de ontluchtingsleiding van de
brandstoftank of de brandstofvuldop af met
waterbestendige tape.
15. Verwijder de aandrijfriem voor de
wisselstroomdynamo en sla deze op.
16. Spuit de motor in met POWERPART
Lay-Up 3 om corrosie te voorkomen. Spuit
niet in de ruimte van de koelventilator voor
de wisselstroomdynamo.
17. Indien de transmissie gedurende ten
minste één jaar niet zal worden gebruikt,
vul de keerkoppeling dan helemaal met
de olie die ook gewoonlijk hierin wordt
gebruikt. Deze olie moet worden afgetapt
