Using the timer

You can check the timer settings in
standby by pressing TIMER/CLOCK
ADJ.
Turning the record timer on/off
1 Press TIMER/CLOCK ADJ.
2 Use the
/
buttons to select REC.
On the front panel use 4/1 and ¡/
¢.
3 Press ENTER.
4 Use the
/
buttons to select TIME
(or TIMER) ON or OFF.
On the front panel use 4/1 and ¡/
¢.
You must have the timer set (see
previous page) to select TIME ON. The
record timer switches on and off
according to your previous settings.
5 Press ENTER.
REC and the timer indicator (
) show in the
display when you select TIME ON.
Child Lock
This system has a child lock feature that
makes the front panel buttons and controls
inoperative. This is useful when you have set
the timer and don’t want the recorder
accidently turned on before the timer
recording has started.
1 Switch the system into standby then
press ENTER.
2 Use the
/
buttons to select KEY
LOCK.
On the front panel use 4/1 and ¡/
¢.
3 Press ENTER.
The current setting is shown in the display.
4 Use the
/
buttons to select LOCK
ON or LOCK OFF.
On the front panel use 4/1 and ¡/
¢.
5 Press ENTER to confirm.
You will have to use the remote control
to switch child lock off.
