Setting the TV format
The default setting of this unit is AUTO, and
unless you notice that the picture is distorted
when playing some discs, you should leave it
set to AUTO.
If you experience picture distortion with some
discs, set the TV system to match your country
or region.
1 Switch the system into standby then
press ENTER.
2 Use the
/
buttons to select TV SYS.
On the front panel use 4/1 and ¡/¢.
3 Press ENTER.
The current setting is shown in the display.
4 Use the
/
buttons to select AUTO,
NTSC, or PAL.
On the front panel use 4/1 and ¡/¢.
5 Press ENTER to confirm.
Resetting the unit
Use this procedure to reset all the system
settings to the factory default.
1 Switch the player into standby.
2 Hold down the 7 (stop) button on the
front panel and switch the player back on.
Changing the frequency step
If you find that you can’t tune into stations
successfully, the frequency step may not be
suitable for your country/region. Here’s how to
switch the setting:
1 Switch the system into standby then
press ENTER.
2 Use the
/
buttons to select AM9k/
10k .
On the front panel use 4/1 and ¡/¢.
3 Press ENTER.
The current setting is shown in the display.
4 Use the
/
buttons to select AM 9k or
AM 10k (AM 9k/FM 50kHz or AM10k/FM
100kHz).
On the front panel use 4/1 and ¡/¢.
5 Press ENTER to confirm.
