3. Position the patient’s Frankfort plane so that it coincides with the
Frankfort plane light.
To do this, adjust the tilt of the patient’s head by raising or lowering the
X-ray unit with the height adjusting buttons. The patient’s back and neck
must be straight.
• The Frankfort plane light is located inside the column. The light’s
position can be adjusted if needed. This is done by rotating the
thumb wheel below the light slot.
